Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is one of the proven and widespread treatments used in reproductive medicine. This procedure involves the artificial injection of processed sperm into the woman’s uterus. The procedure is simple and painless. IUI is mostly used in cases of factors causing infertility such as:

• Low sperm activity (the number of movable and normal spermatozoa in the semen is reduced);
• Retrograde ejaculation;
• Female or male sexual dysfunction;
• Cervical factors (due to changes in the properties of uterine cervix mucosa, spermatozoa are not passed);
• Other unexplained factors.
